Flake dude from work just came by to pick up some crap he was supposed to like a week ago, but never got aroudn because of class. Took a parental ass-chewing from his pop to get around to it. He's got a lot of stuff to do before he flies up to Baltimore to visit his mom, so he had to call into work, or should he, he asks me. What does he say to our boss? Does he lie? Or does he tell his dad that he'll do stuff later, even though he's already not in his best graces? He asks me all these questions and I give him some honest answers and suggestions with how to phrase things. Says he appreciates the perspective, that I'm extraordinarily logical about everything, that I don't just think with emotion like he does. Haha, I got a kick out of that one. I told him that's not entirely true that I have my share of illogical moments with certain folk.

It's cool though, because I've been told that a lot, about how I think things through sensibly... except with certain folk who just bring out the irrational in me for some reason. I don't know what it is, but certain people just bring that out in you. I guess my whole thing is that you're able to stick by me, let me work things out for myself, because eventually, I'm going to. To quote Beyonce and 'nem, "I'm a survivor/ what". If you can stick by me, you are of utmost value to me, because we all need people to stick by us when we're at our least rational. But if you can't trust me, or worse, call me a child in one form or another, well, those are folks I lose contact with 'cause the last people you need to surround yourself with are the people who have no faith in you. Random tangent I know, but for friends who have had faith in me, who have listened to me begrudgingly even in my worst moments, you are most appreciated. I've been called 'loyal to a fault', good to know there's people that don't consider that a character flaw.

Anyway, plan of action as far as this girl... I've been racking my brain on how to least awkwardly approach the situation, I mean, what if she doesn't even remember me and I randomly ask her if she'd like to hang out... "Uh, hell no, you Mexican freak, get out of my face before I call the manager!" Something tells me it won't get that bad, but hopefully I can just go in the store, looking for a movie to buy... I mean, I've got a list of things we don't have at my store that I've been looking for, so yeah, that'd soothe the awkwardness... bring it up passing, make it seem casual. But it's not, no matter how you phrase it, "Do you want to spend time with me" is going to be a hard sell to someone you've met once and haven't seen in a week, yeah? But better sooner than much later. "Hey! We worked together like three months ago, let's hang out!" Yeah, that has success written all over it.

So I'm looking at this site that this business guy gave me his card for... limited edition art sales. Completely free to start up and the business made about $70 mil its first two years for a few thousand folks... and it costs nothing to start up... so far I read though... only problem, I don't know any of these artists and their names aren't listed anywhere. Well, if anybody knows anybody that's a big modern art collector, preferably novice, or if you know anybody that's looking for some artwork to hang over their fireplace or something, holla back. Otherwise, I'm sticking with selling the rewards memberships, where apparently I equalled another store's weekly output thusfar in one day. I want my effing bonus check.

Ran in the middle of the day in the blazing heat. Feeling a little funny in the head, so I'm gonna wait before trekking up to meet this chica again.

Time to focus...
